What does a notary public do?

A notary public is an authorized legal professional responsible for performing a range of official acts, primarily related to the authentication of documents and signatures. Their key responsibilities include:

1. Verifying Signatures: Notaries ensure that the individuals signing a document are who they claim to be. This involves checking identification and confirming the signers' willingness and understanding of the document's content.
