Hasan Atasoy
Lawyer
Hasan Atasoy is a lawyer and the founder of Atasoy Law Firm. With over 5 years of combined work and research experience spanning business law, real estate law, wills & estates, and immigration law, Hasan has served Canadian and international clients on domestic and cross-border legal matters. To date, Hasan has assisted clients in a wide variety of industry sectors, including technology, food, construction, and education.

After completing his master's studies, he pursued the Law Society of Ontario's lawyer licensing process and passed the barrister and solicitor licensing exams on his first attempts.
​
Before founding Atasoy Law Firm, Hasan completed the 4L Academy's mergers and acquisitions courses on due diligence and deal closings. In addition, he worked for an Istanbul-based law firm focusing on private law practice, a Toronto-based law firm concentrating on business law, real estate law, and wills & estates, and a Toronto-based immigration law firm.

Hasan received his undergraduate degree at Istanbul University Faculty of Law, his first master's degree at Marmara University, Istanbul, and his second master's degree at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2022. His master's degree dissertation at Marmara University focused on international tax subject, transfer pricing of intangibles. He researched multinational companies moving their location of profits from high-tax jurisdictions to low-tax jurisdictions, cost contribution arrangements, intellectual property (IP) ownership, and IP transactions such as sale, licensing, and IP service agreements. His master's studies at the University of Toronto focused on Canadian Law, with courses in Business Organizations concentrating on Corporate Law, Contract Law, Property Law, and Legal Research, among others.

Confidential Client: Assisted a client in the acquisition of a restaurant, including the preparation of an asset purchase agreement and conducting legal research as to relevant corporate, commercial, and contractual matters.
