Claudio Klaus (B.A., LLB, M.A.) is an Assistant at Atasoy Law Firm and currently pursuing a Global Professional Master of Laws (GPLL.M.) at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. With a diverse academic and professional background, Claudio has built a solid foundation in law and international relations, which he has further strengthened through unique global experiences. He clerked for Justice Cristovao Suter at the Roraima State Court of Appeals in Brazil and served as a Legal Extern at the Arizona Supreme Court, working with Justice Clint D. Bolick.
Claudio taught Introduction to Business Law at the Universidade Alto Vale do Rio do Peixe in Brazil. He has a broad academic scope, having earned degrees in law, international relations, and development studies. His master's research focused on sanitation regulations in Canada and Brazil, reflecting his passion for public policy and international collaboration. Claudio also spent time as a research trainee at Osgoode Hall Law School, where he deepened his engagement with Canadian legal studies.
In addition to his legal expertise, Claudio is deeply involved in the legal community. He is the Outreach Officer of the Executive Committee for the Canadian Bar Association’s Law Students Section and contributes to various professional organizations, including the Brazil Canada Bar Association and the Canadian Hispanic Bar Association.
Outside of his academic and legal work, Claudio hosts the podcast "Studying Law Around the World," where he explores legal careers and studies across different jurisdictions, bringing together professionals from around the globe to share their insights.
Claudio's international outlook and commitment to both law and public service allow him to bring a unique, informed perspective to complex legal issues, making him a valuable asset to the firm.
